Case Review

During the initial consultation, we meet with the student and family to determine ways we can help. The information provided, along with careful review of progress reports, teacher comments, and any available testing help shape the development of the student’s educational profile and action plan.

The individual educational profile describes the student’s learning strengths, areas for improvement, and recommendations. This profile can be valuable to the student, helping to more clearly understand his/her own learning style. With the family’s permission, we will meet with the school to present the student’s educational profile, to discuss the potential implementation of any approved accommodations, and to determine how we can best support the student and the faculty in their efforts. We work together as a team, with the student, the family and the school to establish realistic goals.
